Chelsea returned to the Premier League summit thanks to a comprehensive 3-0 victory over London rivals Tottenham.
Goals from Ashley Cole, Michael Ballack and Didier Drogba maintained Chelsea’s 100 percent start to the season under new manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Spurs were second best for much of the game and now face a defensive injury crisis after first Ledley King and then Sebastien Bassong were forced off while Jonathan Woodgate and Michael Dawson are both still sidelined.
