One Response to “Benefits And Impacts Of South Africa Hosting World Cup 2010?”

  1. Daiisy Says:

Positive because: huge economic benefit. hundreds of thousands of tourists, jobs created. new infrastructure, modernizes a city. chance to show the world a great country. first african nation to host the ‘world game’
Negative because: huge financial costs,if something goes wrong it reflects on the country. huge time pressures to build stadiums and infrastructure. Locals are unhappy because they lose huge funding. south africa known for crime
I could go on and on… just think about it as a theatrical production. A heap of work and planning and money goes into the project (negatives) but heaps of people watch it and if it goes well it reflects good on the performers/company (positive) and brings in a lot of money
