It’s been quite a summer for Los Angeles Galaxy forward Edson Buddle.
The 29-year-old New York native is fresh off his first trip to the World Cup — where the U.S. national team won their group, but fell to Ghana in the round of 16. Now, Buddle is back with the Galaxy, and was just named to the MLS All-Star team, which will challenge Manchester United in Houston on July 28.
FanHouse was lucky enough to catch up with Buddle to talk about the World Cup, his reception upon returning home and his future plans. And it’s clear he got a lot more out of the experience than just an extra 8,000 Twitter followers.
Below is the transcript of the conversation.
