FIFA has added a game between the U.S. national team and Colombia in New York to the international fixture list on its Web site, apparently confirming the long-rumored friendly now scheduled to take place three days after the Americans face Poland in Chicago.
The U.S. Soccer Federation, however, told FanHouse that FIFA’s list is “not official” and that it prefers to wait until it has everything signed and sealed before making an announcement. So, while there will be a national team game on Oct. 12, and while Colombia remains the rumored opponent, its participation and the venue remain unconfirmed.
