I am planning on having a holiday in cuba next year (end of June beginning of July), will all the matches for the football world cup be shown live on TV in the hotels and bars? Group stages through to the final.

Yes, most resort will show it. I watched the world cup in 2002 in Cuba while vacationing as well as the Euro Cup in 2008. Brisa Santa Lucia will have a 42 inch plasma tv at the main bar area showing all games shown on ESPN and ESPN Spanish. As well there is a German Channel showing the Germany games, The RAI showing Italian games, and a few other international stations showing games. About 80% of the group stage games will be shown and all games after the group stage. another great hotel to watch the games is the Tryp in Cayo Coco as they have theatre room showing the games, a little walk to the bar.

Yeah when we stayed at a few different hotels we watched various matches I remember watching Rangers take on Valencia. Last march I remember watching Spain play leicenstien (however it’s spelled)on a big screen at the 24 hour bar. They definitely will follow the world Cup.
Do some research for your hotel for televisions.

I am sure the matches will be shown - but not necessarily in every hotel. Last time, I think that the Saratoga had a big screen.
Where in Cuba do you plan to go ?
