Things are going pretty well for Landon Donovan these days. First, the U.S. gets a relatively favorable draw in the 2010 World Cup. Then the Galaxy star gets signed to a 10-week loan with English Premier League side Everton.
And now? Donovan gets a starring role in a commercial. But not just any commercial. It’s one promoting a new Mexican lottery game.
The “kicker”, if you will? The spot is shot in Spanish.
This might seem illogical upon first take, as the Mexico-US soccer rivalry has grown extremely heated over the years, and American players aren’t exactly beloved by the El Tri faithful.
