With the new Smurfs 3D film waiting in the wings, a number of tourist centers around the world are working full time to capitalize on the resurgence of the squeaky ones international popularity.
Abu Dhabi announced on Tuesday that it plans to create the world’s first Smurf Village and the town of Juzcar in Spain, normally painted a traditional white, has allowed Sony Pictures to paint it blue as an advertisement for the film, which will have its debut in the southern Spanish town.
