In 2009, the calendar for the U.S. national team was more jam-packed that an aging rock band on its farewell tour. That marathon included multiple tournaments — Confederations Cup, Gold Cup — on top of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying.
However, as 2009 trickles to an end, about the only things missing from the 2010 U.S. fixture list are a couple lonely tumbleweeds floating across the prairie, well, at least until that little tournament in South Africa in June called the World Cup.
