    the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying rounds will begin as early as August 2007 when the 2007 South Pacific Games takes place. it is also double up as the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, preliminary round in Oceania zone.
    the South American zone @ CONMEBOL will begin their qualifying campaign in September 2007 as all 10 teams will play against each other in a single qualifying group. as for other confederations, the qualifying round will begin after the draw for the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers made on 23 November 2007.

    the qualifying for 2010 world cup starts after EURO 2008 finishes….and then when 2010 world cup finishes the qualifying for the next Euro starts …and so on..

    I agree with Playmaker. For most of the world however I believe the qualifying round will begin in late 2008 and last well into 2009.

    It depends—each Federation makes its own qualifying format, rules, and schedules. The very first qualifiers start in Oceania in August 2007. See the link
