FIFA, the world’s football governing body has drawn out the qualification groups for all confederations for the 2010 FIFA World Cup back in November 2007. the qualifying matches has already started in most confederations except in Europe where the qualifying matches will begin in August 2008.
SCOTLAND has been drawn in Group 9 along with NETHERLANDS, NORWAY, F.Y.R MACEDONIA & ICELAND.
the European zone qualifying matches will then continue until November 2009 when 13 teams from European zone qualified for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Scotland in group 9 with first game on 6th Sep against Macedonia and second game against Iceland on 10th Sep.
