I think with all the resources and thier determination due to the failure of the Euro 2008, and new leadership-i think England will pull it off.

Sometimes talent is not enough, and I hear a lot of noise for the likes of spain, netherlands, mexico and argentina. Lets first start with the environment, it will be a winter wolrd cup in RSA and will most probably favour euro teams. But then that’s just one factor which I think most players will over come as most players representing their countries will be plying their trade in Europe. Euro teams are normally bad travellers while South American teams are stable travellers and along with African teams, they’ll enjoy a lot of fan support as we South Africans like their style of footie more than European. I think a South American team will win, all hopes on Brasil and Argentina but I hope an African team will make us proud.

Well first of all lets look at the teams that are very talented. Argentina is one of them. They have lots of yougsters that will certainly get better before 2010 such as Sergio Aguero, Diego Capel (and others). When you add to that Lionel Messi, Juan Roman Riquelme, Carlos Tevez, Diego Milito, Gabi Milito and others, it makes a really impressive teams. Also, Brazil all its superstars are always dangerous. Based on the last Euro Cup, I’d say the Netherlands Definitely look pretty good and Spain and Germany too. (These are the three best in Europe right now). Since it is going to be in Africa, maybe an African country will make it through. Hopefully Cameroon or Ghana.
So my ranking would be:
1-Argentina
2-Brazil
3-Spain
4-Netherlands
5-Germany
And Hopefully Cameroon or Ghana will make the whole African countinent pride.
Oh yeah and about England, sorry to disappoint you but they probably won’t. If they were not even able to beat these easy teams and to qualify for the Euro, I would be really surprised if they even make it to the semifinals of the world cup. They just don’t have a good enough team. But I think if they really take it upon themselves, they might do O.K. But I just don’t see them winning at all. First I think they have to get a new coach (if they haven’t already). That’d be a good start.

Nobody other than the great Belgian Red Devils of course..not. I hate my own country’s team because it is really crap. The Netherlands are going to win 2010 World Cup for sure though but Spain might reach the finals as well with their great win with Euro 2008.
