Because Canada don’t have a good national team for some reason, infact they aren’t very good at all anymore.
They did have a few decent players several years ago, but they’ve all retired.
They were knocked out in round 1 or 2.

CANADA participate in the 2010 FIFA World Cup CONCACAF zone qualifiers but they were already eliminated before the final roound of 6 teams. they failed to qualify for the CONCACAF final round as they finish bottom in the 3rd round Group 2 behind HONDURAS, MEXICO & JAMAICA. only the top two teams qualify for the final round of 6 teams.

They are better off playing ice hockey and american football. They are no good for football
